Backpackin'

Backpacks have been making a steady comeback and I couldn't be more ecstatic!  Being a mom, I need to be hands free because 100% of the time I am balancing holding my baby, her bottle, her toys, her diaper bag and my keys.

The convenience of throwing on a backpack as you're heading out the door and still looking stylish is a huge win-win in my book.  Here are some of the ways I've style one of my favorite pieces, the Chanel Chevron Backpack from the Spring 2016 Collection!

Some of my current faves that have a classic cut and color, but include some amazing, fun details!

caged up

sometimes the binds of responsibility and everyday life has me feeling like im a caged up bird. if it were up to me, id be free...traveling the world and exploring all that it has to offer. until that day comes, im gonna to have to settle for southern california...which by no means musters any complaints. ive been living in this comfy shredded knit cardigan as of late. the weather has been warm during the day, but unpleasantly chilly once the sun sets. impatiently yearning for the constant heatwaves of summer.

unconventionally chic

southern california weather has been throwing me for a loop lately and i cant seem to shake off this annoying cold. it was a slightly warm sunday so i took full advantage. my outfit was inspired by my love for business attire...i decided to pair it up with some accessories for a chic twist. pretty random for a walk in the park, but ive been so excited to wear my vintage silk blouse with amazing button and sleeve detailing.

spottie dottie

ive always been drawn to classic, simple heels, but there was something about these strappy pony hair leopard pumps that made me fall in love. the buckle details and sexy back zipper add character to the already beautiful shoe. la la love!

meet me at the tracks

its hard to believe that not too long ago trains were one of the only forms of transportation for cross country traveling. today, you can book a trip all around the world at a click of a mouse. call me old school, but sometimes i appreciate the traditional, simplistic days. the copper rusted railroad tracks and dark wooden planks against the contrast of gray rocks look effortlessly beautiful as the tracks run infinitely into the horizon.
