i seriously cant get enough of bright colored bottoms lately. coming from someone that practically lives in black, im so proud of myself for venturing outside the box. theres also just something about pairing red and leopard together that makes everything so right.

if i worked at a corporate office, this would probably be one of my ideal outfits. sophisticated and pulled together, yet still fun and stylish. high waisted trousers are a staple must in my wardrobe and i love these dark, tailored ones from rich&skinny. the inner waistband is lined with leopard, which inspired me to pair it with this leopard zara blouse. schnazzy.

a stroll through the park

i literally live steps away from this amazing park, but never had the time to explore it. the boy and i decided to take a little stroll, and i busted out my joie over the knee lace up boots! i love these boots for so many reasons, the color, the lace up detail, the gold plate at the tip of the boot, i can go on and on...the weather was sunny, but chilly and reminded me so much of home. i definitely have to start looking into planning a trip back to vancouver soon.

cracked cement and oil spills

these j brand jeans are so comfortable i swear they could give pajama jeans a run for their money. the clouds were overcasted and threatening rain today so i didn't want to take my chances. not that i need to justify it. but something about the gloomy weather just makes you feel a bit better wearing black.

grab an umbrella

the rain has been nonstop for the past week and my leopard umbrella has been a permanent fixture in my hands. not complaining, but i am definitely missing the sunshine.

floating in the clouds

the calm before the storm. a quiet storm was approaching and i watched as the clouds rolled in. it was soothing to feel the cold air on my face and the light sprinkles on my skin. such a rare entity in southern california.

off the shoulder tops are one of my favorites-simple and understated yet effortlessly sexy. i paired my heather gray variation with denim shorts, over the knee knit socks and oxfords for the day, but skinny jeans or faux leather leggings would work just as well.

its finally cold enough to bust out the chunky knit sweaters. i am in love with crochet, but rarely get to wear it because of my annoying allergy to cashmere and wool. thank god for acrylic! still gaga over gray tones and statement necklaces at the moment and yearning for more chilly days.

happy hour

i was excited to meet up the girls for happy hour at charlie palmer for some yummy drinks and delicious appetizers last night. the weather was dry and super windy, but the ambiance was cozy and buzzing inside. the decor of the restaurant is absolutely stunning, with glass panel flooring and dimly lit candles. they have got some super delicious specialty drinks and the truffle mac and cheese is to die for.

ive always loved the feeling of wearing a mens collar button-down shirt. something about the crisp, classic lines of the shirt just makes you feel sexy. i paired my denim variation with some over the knee socks to incorporate a feminine touch.

the perfect fall bag

i finally got my hands on the limited edition balenciaga 10 year anniversary city and i loooove it! i still cant believe its been 10 years since their first iconic motorcycle bag. ive been needing a brown handbag and the bronze craquele suede calfskin metallic finish city is even more beautiful than i imagined. my perfect fall bag. not that i need to be shopping, (insert justification here) but ive gotten so much use out of my giant city that i figured it would be a great investment. love, love, love!

is it fall yet?

i woke up this morning to a crisp, chilly, gloomy day and was ecstatic that fall was finally here. i put on one of my favorite pairs of boots, grabbed a faux fur vest and was out the door for my morning coffee. mid walk to the car i realized that it was a false alarm. the sun was beaming, the temperature was rising and i was boiling in my outfit. i was able to snap a few pictures before changing into something more fitting.
