Ladylike in Black and White

i was feeling very ladylike in my black and white attire. everything from the over sized sunnies, fringed skirt and draped coat made the look very feminine, in a street chic kind of way. the leather pieces were a nice accent and dressed up the casual white tee. somehow, i always end up wearing black. i will need to keep reminding myself to incorporate more color this season!

Transition

gloomy skies are finally upon us and we are entering what i like to call the transition period into autumn. to dress appropriately for the climate change, i incorporated a light sweater with some over the knee boots and my favorite denim shorts. with fall comes many opportunities to layer and bundle up. stay tuned to see my what other looks i'll be putting together for the remainder of the season!

i appreciate the beauty of old, abandoned buildings. especially the chipped cement and eerie atmosphere. there is so much history, just like this vintage sequins sweater that i found in a clearance bin. old and worn out, but thats what makes it beautiful.

unconventionally chic

southern california weather has been throwing me for a loop lately and i cant seem to shake off this annoying cold. it was a slightly warm sunday so i took full advantage. my outfit was inspired by my love for business attire...i decided to pair it up with some accessories for a chic twist. pretty random for a walk in the park, but ive been so excited to wear my vintage silk blouse with amazing button and sleeve detailing.

warm winter days

we were blessed with the most amazing weather this weekend. 80+degrees and i was taking full advantage. had a very productive weekend shopping, shopping, eating and more shopping.

its hard to believe that a year ago i was trekking to work in snow piled up to my knees. it is absolutely amazing how spoiled we are here with beautiful sunshine in december, not to mention the most beautiful beaches at our disposal. i definitely am not taking any of it for granted.
